CaO Hellas has developed a new system of dry desulphurization (Dry Sorbent Injection) using specialized products, Greenlime.
This system is designed mostly for flue gas desulphurisation derived from burning lignite / coal. Specifically, the method consists in injecting GREENLIME nebulization dry particles of Greenlime of very low particle size distribution and high surface area , directly in exhaust ducts of lignite power plants.
Dry treatment (using products GREENLIME) can be easily integrated into existing systems and has the following advantages: Low investment cost Simlicity of design and operation Extremely small capacity Easy to automate Low consumption of compressed air , electricity and water Flexible operation In addition , the by-product of the purification process is gypsum which can be used in plaster boards.
