Thessaloniki
This installation is the mother company of CaO Hellas. This unit successfully launched in the early 80’s. The installation consists of a lime production plant, with a capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum. Also, there is a hydrated lime production line, with a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per annum. Both production lines are accompanied with air classifier and grinding system.
Volos
The unit was founded in 1999, with the aim of specializing in the steel and aluminum production sector. It consists of modern production and control systems and has a total capacity of 500 tn/day. The flexible and fully automated production system allows us to produce different lime products, in various sizes and with full standardization.
In 2026, the company proceeded with the installation of a second state-of-the-art, high-temperature vertical shaft kiln, investing further in the production of high-reactivity lime for demanding industrial applications, such as aluminum production, dolomitic lime, and specialized products for the steel industry. The new facility integrates modern technology, ensuring high product quality, energy efficiency, and increased production flexibility.
At the same time, the plant features a hydrated lime production unit with a capacity of over 10 tn/hour and a milling unit with a capacity of 10 tn/hour, covering a wide range of specialized industrial needs.
Amyntaio
In 2005, a branch of Thessaly Lime was established to support the growing demand for lime products in the area. Specifically , the Amyntaio facility mostly operates to fullfil the needs of electric plants and agricultural demand of north Greece and neighboring countries too.
